Summary:
In a Minnesota school they push teacher on not talking about peoples sexuality. Students are telling teachers and princlpes they are being bullied and noting is being done about it. They have had a high number of kids that have committed suicide because of all the bullying. They realized that kids had strated to think to them self that once they had gotten really stressed out, they would just take their life. They had 4 out of nine that had died were either gay or bullied by children.
My Option:
I think the school district should have done something about what the children were going through. It's sad that the kids had felt that they basically had no one and thought since stress was a factor in their live that they had no point of living so they would commit suicide. The school district was so worried about not talking about homosexuality that they forgot about children being bullied, and it ended up not in a good way. The teachers just to say my job is just a job, that includes to make sure your classroom makes the children feel safe and not to be afraid, and ovbilousy the children didn't feel safe and OK. A part of a teacher job is to make a classroom a easy place to learn and a safe place to be. So there job was not done.
